About Us

Who are we? At Living Hope…

Though we are sinners, we have been washed clean in the blood of Christ – 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Though we are weak, Christ’s strength empowers us – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Though we are cold, Christ’s love inflames us – 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Though we are surrounded by evil, Christ protects us – Psalm 91:4

Though we die, Christ gives us life – Romans 6:11

Though we do not know how to speak, Christ’s Word is all we need – Jeremiah 1:9

While all the hopes of this world eventually fade and die, we have a hope that remains bright and sure through all the ages of time. Through His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ grants us the sure hope of heaven and eternal life. It is His blood which makes us confident of God’s love and forgiveness. It is this love which we would speak to the world and this love which we would model in our lives. To that end we gather to receive our Lord’s gifts of forgiveness and peace in Word and Sacrament each Sunday. Join us!

We are Lutheran… because we believe and teach the beautiful Biblical principals reclaimed in the reformation: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone. Also, because we confess the creeds of the Lutheran Church without qualification as they are found in the Book of Concord 1580.

Grace alone… Grace is undeserved love. Because of our sin we deserve death and hell, but God in His love for us gives us forgiveness and heaven.

Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Faith Alone… The way we receive this gift of forgiveness and eternal life is through faith in Christ Jesus.

John 3:18  “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Scripture Alone… The only way we can know of God and His will for us is through God’s word -the Bible.

2 Timothy 3:16  “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

We are a Church because… Matthew 18:20  “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

We are a Member of the CLC…which stands for the Church of the Lutheran Confession. For more information visit http://clclutheran.org/

"He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
