The Old Testament believer Job lost everything in a day, but still trusted in God to deliver him. The Epistle Lesson reminds us that because of Jesus’ blood we are delivered from sin and have become part of the city of God. Jesus Himself invites us to come to Him and promises to remove our burden of sin and give us hope and eternal life.
